The Spam Before Christmas

The Spam Before Christmas
‘Twas the fortnight before Christmas, and all through my email
No good messages were stirring, just illicit retail;
There were Viagra and Cialis, and their load of bunk,
And watches galore – really, who buys this junk?
There are work-at-home ads that promise me riches,
And Russian bride offers that keep me in stitches.
But what to my wondering eyes should appear?
A real email, decorated with reindeer!
Oh, but it’s been forwarded and resent so many times,
Do I dare click its link, or trust its lines?
My friends don’t catch on, but maybe some day
They’ll understand malware spreads so easy this way.
So don’t be a victim, and just click delete
And one day this malware – we might defeat!
So on spam filters, on virus filters
And URL checkers too,
Don’t let those spammers make a fool of you!
Keep your eyes on the contents,
And do what’s right.
Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good-night!
